The GMET channels green finance into Greater Manchester through our Green Spaces Fund, in collaboration with the Mayor of Greater Manchester and Greater Manchester Combined Authority.
The demand for this funding has been huge, and we consistently receive more applications than we can support.
That’s where your organisation comes in.
Our corporate supporters are investing in these visible, high-impact green projects that deliver social value, biodiversity and climate resilience benefits in Greater Manchester. All Green Spaces Fund projects undergo a rigorous assessment process which aligns to the GMCA 5-Year Environment Plan.

Root – Providing the foundations to help our region flourish
‘Root’ is the tier for your organisation if you want to make thoughtful, one-off or simple recurring donations to the GMET and support the work we do in a flexible way.
For example, if you host an event, you might ask your attendees to make a small donation to the GMET via our JustGiving page. Or you might be running a raffle for World Environment Day and donate the proceeds to the Trust.
Your company logo will be added to the ‘Our Supporters’ page on the GMET website.

Bud – Helping new projects get off the ground
‘Bud’ tier is where you can fund a new Green Spaces Fund project and see it grow.
You will cover the full cost of a project of your choice and follow the group's journey from start to finish, from grey to green.
You will be sent a shortlist of new projects that are being assessed within the next Green Spaces Fund round, and you can pick the projects that you want to support.
You will receive an impact report upon project completion, your company logo will be added to the ‘Our Supporters’ page on the GMET website, and corporate volunteering session at your chosen project(s) can be arranged on request subject to T&Cs.

Bloom – Ensuring projects reach their next phase of growth
‘Bloom’ tier is where you’ll find a cherry-picked list of established Green Spaces Fund projects who have a great track record for regreening and big ideas for growth.
By providing funding to an existing Green Spaces Fund group, you’ll be helping to ensure the legacy of these projects so they can bloom in communities for future generations.
Choose a project to support from the Bloom Hub.
You will receive a concise report, and your company logo will be added to the ‘Our Supporters’ page on the GMET website.
