The idea

The South Street Community Garden is planned for a 465m2 site which has been disused, overgrown, and a hot spot for fly tipping and anti-social behaviour.

We will work with the community to turn this into a positive shared asset: a community garden, built and maintained by and for the community, focused on regenerative food growing.

We will run volunteer gardening clubs, wellbeing programmes, and educational workshops to bring people in the community together to learn new skills, build positive social connections, improve their wellbeing, and build pride in their local area through collaboratively caring for the natural environment.
