Green Spaces Fund Impact Report 2026

The latest Impact Report for the Greater Manchester Green Spaces Fund is now live. 93 groups have now completed their Green Spaces Fund projects, and we're taking an in-depth look at the impact their work has had across Greater Manchester.

The Green Spaces Fund provides grants from £2,000 to £40,000 to community groups across Greater Manchester who want to increase the amount of accessible, nature-rich green space where people need it most.

People from all walks of life value access to nature, but not everyone is able to benefit to the same extent.

Therefore, the Green Spaces Fund aims to help Greater Manchester become greener, fairer and more prosperous, by focusing on three aims:

  1. To benefit communities in greatest need of quality green and blue spaces

  2. To tackle our biodiversity emergency

  3. To encourage and empower communities to get involved with nature

But how well is the fund meeting these aims?
